Standing Up for Children and Families

This open letter was organized by AfghanEvac, Refugee Council USA, and the Chamberlain Network, and signed by dozens of organizations representing veterans, faith leaders, refugee and immigrant welcome groups, and democracy advocates.

It calls out the use of militarized immigration enforcement tactics that endanger children and families, and reminds us that protecting the vulnerable is both a legal obligation and a moral imperative.

By sharing this letter, AfghanEvac underscores a simple truth: how we treat the most vulnerable among us defines who we are as a nation — and we must choose compassion, dignity, and justice.
