  • #AfghanEvac brings together organizations with a shared commitment to fulfilling the United States’ duty to Afghan allies and friends.

  • We are a self-organized group of Afghans, veterans, frontline civilians, current and former members of the national security and intelligence communities, members of human rights-focused non-profits, Hill staffers, private sector employees, and others.

  • American Citizens (AMCITs), Lawful Permanent Residents (LPRs), U.S. Visa holders (including SIVs), Afghans referred to the U.S. Refugee Admissions Program (USRAP P1, P2, etc), Afghan allies and their families, and others impacted by the U.S. mission in Afghanistan.

  • We are working together to save lives. We unite disparate groups toward a unified goal of honoring the promise we made to our Afghan friends and allies.

  • Members of the #AfghanEvac coalition collaborate on the full pipeline from humanitarian support on the ground through relocation opportunities, and resettlement efforts.

    In the months following the U.S. withdrawal from Afghanistan, we built the mechanism for cooperation between U.S. government agencies and private groups, which we now administer,. We work hand-in-hand with these partners, legislators, and the public to coordinate efforts, improve efficiency and disseminate information.

  • + Ensure Afghans and the volunteer organizations helping them have clear, accurate, and timely information and access to appropriate resources

    + Work with relevant stakeholders to ensure the U.S. government establishes long-term, end-to-end plan for honoring our promise to Afghans

    + Enable information sharing and collaboration across the full ecosystem of organizations & government involved

    + Add short-term capacity to the relocation and resettlement operations related to the U.S. withdrawal from Afghanistan

Our Shared Commitments

  • Trusted Partners

    Groups in our coalition endeavor to be trusted partners. We will always act ethically and within the bounds of the law.

  • Data Sharing

    Groups in our coalition share with appropriate government partners the data we’ve gathered pertaining to people on the ground in Afghanistan in need of assistance.

  • Appropriate Use of USG Assets

    Groups in our coalition do not use inappropriately, or cause the appearance thereof, US government equipment or assets.

  • Privacy Protection

    Groups in our coalition do not share the inner workings of our meetings with the press or outside of the coalition work spaces

  • Endstate Planning

    Groups in our coalition do not send people outside of Afghanistan without a legal, informed plan in mind for their ultimate disposition.

  • Mutual Respect

    As an all-volunteer effort, groups in our coalition engage one another and those we endeavor to help with respect and dignity. We do not tolerate harassment, bullying or disrespectful behavior.

Our Red Lines

  • Organizational Privacy

    We will not share specifics of internal discussions or meetings either within or between member groups.

  • Individual Privacy

    Names of individual personnel involved in our work beyond our core team will remain confidential, for safety and security reasons.

  • Operational Details

    We will not share the specifics of how we are helping Afghans on the ground; routes, methods and means must remain confidential for evacuee safety.

  • Procedural Details

    Means, methods, procedures and other information related to the safety and security of Afghans on the ground or in transit will remain confidential.

Our Executive Advisory Council

The Executive Advisory Council represents a cross-section of leaders from across coalition leadership. They advise, inform, and help ensure all voices are being heard and reflected in the coalition's work.
