Stand With Our Allies: May 7 Court Observation

On May 7 at 2:00 PM, Judge Tanya Chutkan will hold the next status conference in the Afghan Allies class action lawsuit in federal court in Washington, DC. We are organizing a courtroom presence of veterans, faith leaders, resettlement and evacuation volunteers, and supporters from across the American experience. Fill out this form to let us know you can be there.

What to know before you sign up

This is a court observation, not a protest. You will sit quietly through the proceeding. Phones and recording devices are not allowed in the courtroom. Outside the courthouse, AfghanEvac will run a coordinated press effort before and after the hearing.

A safety note, please read carefully

This may be a hostile environment. ICE has shown up at federal courthouses in recent months to target Afghans and other immigrants, and we cannot rule out that happening here. If you are not a U.S. citizen or do not hold durable lawful status, please do not attend. We will find other ways for you to plug in. Your safety comes first, and we will not ask anyone to put themselves at risk to support this case.
