Anonymous is a first choice, not a last resort
Many people share without ever attaching their name, and their stories carry just as much weight. You set the terms, and nothing moves without your say-so. That matters for everyone, and most of all for allies who still have family at risk.
Anonymous, if you want it
Tell your whole story and never use your name. On background, under a pseudonym, or fully anonymous, the choice is yours and we honor it.
We only share what you approve
We never pass your story or your information to anyone unless you have specifically told us we can. Nothing is shared that you have not approved, and you approve every use before it happens.
You choose how it is used
Press, government, public advocacy, these are separate decisions. Say yes to one, some, or none, and you can be anonymous in any of them.
You can stop anytime
Change your mind, add conditions, or walk away at any point. Sharing your story with us commits you to nothing.
A word on safety. AfghanEvac will never charge you to share your story, never promise you a visa or a case outcome in exchange, and never ask for money. If anyone claims otherwise, it is not us.
