AfghanEvac Global Update
February 23, 2026

In February 2026, AfghanEvac convened the largest globally concentrated briefing on relocation and resettlement of our Afghan mission partners ever — before, during, or after the August 2021 evacuation.

Nearly 1,900 registrants from 48 states and DC, plus 31 countries joined — including more than 1,000 Afghans physically in Afghanistan, Pakistan, and other active SIV pipeline locations, alongside 49 congressional offices, legal experts, refugee leaders, veterans, and coalition partners.

This briefing provides a grounded update on the current state of the SIV, P1, and P2 pipelines, third-country realities, litigation and legislative developments, and what coordinated action looks like moving forward.
