Foreign Born Allies Since 1776 Tee

Long before there was a United States, there were people born somewhere else willing to fight for it.

The front says it plainly: Foreign Born Allies Since 1776. The back carries the receipts. Each name is a foreign-born service member who fought for this country, with the place they came from and the war they served in:

Lafayette of France, in the Revolutionary War
Mohammed Kahn, an Afghan immigrant who enlisted two months after arriving in 1861 and fought with the 43rd New York Infantry through nearly the entire Civil War
Michael Valente of Italy, Medal of Honor, World War I
José Calugas of the Philippines, Medal of Honor, World War II
Tibor Rubin of Hungary, a Holocaust survivor who earned the Medal of Honor in Korea
José Jiménez of Mexico, Medal of Honor, Vietnam
Rafael Peralta of Mexico, Navy Cross, Iraq

Beneath the names, the shirt honors the allies who stood with America without ever wearing its uniform: the Vietnamese, the Kurds, and the Afghans. Many of them are still waiting for America to keep its promise.

Wear it for the people who chose this country and fought for it, and for the ones still counting on us.
